The Quinta dos Roques 2007 Reserva has a brillant deep dark color with an intense fruit bouquet of wild blackcurrants and pine leaves, with vanilla and chocolate notes given by the oak. On the palate it is very generous with the astringent characteristics of its youth, foretelling a remarkable aging due to its great balance between alcohol, acidity, tannins and body. This wine will satisfy the fans of young fruit wines, though it will gain immensely by being bottled aged for a few years. In 10 years it will certainly be more more complex and the pride of the winemaker.
Aged in 2nd year French oak barrels for 15 months.

100% Touriga Nacional
Dark brillant color. The bouquet is characteristic of this varietal,with hints of violets, pine needles and red fruits. Oak and chocolate notes are well balanced with the fruit. On the palate the wine is generouse and concentrated with the firm tannins characteristic of its youth,and indicative of a remarkable ageing potential.
Aged in new and 2nd year old French oak barrels for 15 months.

35% Touriga Nacional 10% Tinto Roriz (Tempranillo) 45% Jaen 10% Alfrocheiro
On the palate, this wine expresses as brambly dark berry fruit, elements of dusty earth, high toned brown spices, and faintly of eucalyptus. Lively, joyful, fruit driven, with fine ripe tannins and gentle acidity, this is simply a juicy, engaging red wine. Burgundian in profile. Fermented in stainless steel.
aged 12 months in French barrels.

100% Tinto Cão
The Quinta dos Roques 2007 Tinto is bright cherry red with immediate notes of spice, cedar, earth, leather and tart blackberries, and herbal notes in the background.
it is fresh and spicy on the palate, demonstrating excellent balance between the fruit, tannins, and acidity. Silkyin texture and pleasing on the finish.
