Fallen Angel wines are the product of the passionate and creative team of winemakers of Stonyridge Vineyard,jointly with other winemakers from elsewhere in New Zealand. Whereas Stonyridge wines are estate grown and made on Waiheke Island, widely known as being best suited to production of high quality red wines, Fallen Angel wines originate from other regions of New Zealand which specialize in the production of the Fallen Angel varietals. The result is the pure and true representation of those varietals that Fallen Angel has become reknowned for. Enjoy.
100% Sauvignon Blanc 13.5% Alcohol
Generous nose rich with ripe aromas of passionfruit, ripe melon, gooseberry and fresh citrus with softly herbaceous notes.
Rich, concentrated, and full of fruit on the palate, the wine is well balanced with fine acid leading to a long finish overflowing with ripe, juicy, varietal flavours that are crisp, intense and refreshing. Vibrant, luscious, fruit driven and lively to the finish; classic Sauvignon Blanc.
100% Riesling
A beautifully focussed style of Riesling that exhibits intense citrus fruit characters of lemon and lime, overlaid with riper tropical notes of mango and pineapple. The palate balances perfectly on the knife-edge of the sweetness/acid symmetry, with the richness and fruit weight in harmony with the mineral backbone of the wine. Delicious now – and even better after cellaring for the next 3-5 years.
100% Pinot Noir
A dark, full bodied Pinot from New Zealand's top region for this varietal. Intense dark colour, classic floral fruit on the nose with a pleasing savoury aspect, this generous red has a rich and complex palate with strong flavours of cherry, plum and spicy notes. The wine has a warm, dense texture under pinned by firm fine tannins.
10 months in french oak.
